About the Award

Mortality refers to the rate or likelihood of death within a specific population over a certain period of time. Preventable mortality is the death of a person that could have been avoided through timely and effective public health measures, preventive care, or behavioral changes. What if we could reduce risks to human mortality with risk mitigation? What if we could save a million lives? This new $1,500 team scholarship will be awarded to a MTFC Finalist Team that proposes to do just that.

With the new MTFC Save a Million Lives Award (SaML) sponsored by the Insurance Collaboration to Save Lives, you have the chance to demonstrate your risk mitigation idea for real-world mortality improvement.
