Registration & Submission Information
Registering Your Team
Team registration for the Modeling the Future Challenge is now open. Registration is completed through the Institute of Competition Sciences’ online platform. If you participated in a previous Modeling the Future Challenge, you can use the same user account information to register teams for the 2019-20 challenge. If you do not already have an account on the ICS system, you can create one here.
To register a new team for the 2019-20 Modeling the Future Challenge, login to your ICS account and find your Dashboard (the green link in the top right of the page when logged in). On the Dashboard find the “My Teams” page. Click the “Register New Team” button. Then select the competition you’re registering for – the “2019-20 Modeling the Future Challenge.” Complete the form, click the button to “Register Team” and your team is all set to go! Alternatively, you can also access the registration link through the 2019-20 MTF Challenge listing on the ICS competitions database.
Once you have registered the team, you can also add members to the team. Members are other students (or your coach if you are a student creating the team) who will have access to see team information and upload submission documents. To add members give them the team member link found in your team information page, and the team password you setup. They will have to go to that link and input the team password. This will send you a membership request that you can either approve or deny. Once you approve them as a member, they’ll have access to the team information and submission details.
Viewing the Scenarios and Submitting You Responses
This year’s Qualifying Scenarios are found on the ICS platform for easy access and a streamlined submission process. After registering your team you will have access to your team page where there is a “Submission” section. You will find the 3 scenarios here. To find your team page, login to your ICS account and go to the “Dashboard” (the green link in the upper right). Click the “My Teams” link and find the team you want to submit for,. Click that team’s name to access the team information page. Teams only need to complete 1 scenario to qualify. To submit, chose the scenario you have completed, and click the name of the scenario to bring the submission form. Upload one document including all of your answers to the questions, then click to submit. This will complete your submission. If on the first scenario you do not qualify for the Project Phase, you can complete the process with a second and third scenario.
Submitting your Project Report
Teams that qualify as Modeling the Future Scholars can submit their project reports during the Project Phase of the MTFC (December 12 2019 through February 28, 2020). Project reports will be submitted through the team’s Dashboard on the Institute of Competition Sciences’ platform. To submit your report, login to your account on the ICS platform. Then go to your “Dashboard” and select your team from the “My Teams” page. On the team information page you will see the Project Phase submission link where you should upload your project report.
